About the Program
Gardens of Glory is a sensory journey into gardening, nature, and plant-based creativity.
Children will explore harvesting, composting, planting seeds, transferring seedlings, trellis-making, and mapping the garden and its surroundings—including sun, shade, wind, animals, and neighbours.
We’ll also visit a large local organic garden and create our own herbal concoctions, while exploring a playful garden story about the fascinating world of compost.
Who are the creatures living in compost, from microscopic organisms to creatures we can see? And what magic do they create?
Through shadow play, storytelling, drama, and hands-on garden activities, children will discover the hidden life of the garden while learning through movement, imagination, and creative play.
